Liebe openKONSEQUENZ-Interessenten,
die openKONSEQUENZ Working Group hat ein neues Mitglied: Die University of Queensland ist dem Kooperationsvertrag als 6. Guest Member beigetreten. Damit hat die Working Group das erste Mitglied außerhalb Europas gewinnen können, was zeigt das der oK-Ansatz ein Potential entfaltet, das weit über den deutschen Markt hinaus wirkt. Eigentlich verwundert das nicht, da doch die Themen in „Down Under“ auch nicht wirklich verschieden von unseren Themen sind, wie an der Selbstdarstellung der Universität abzulesen ist:
The University of Queensland is one of Australia’s leading research and teaching institutions. Located in the sunshine state of Queensland, it traditionally has strong ties with distribution system operators strongest affected by a rapid increase in both residential and commercial photovoltaic system numbers. Alongside aging assets and power system stability, one of the strengths of UQ’s Power and Energy Systems research is power system state estimation and power system state optimization. This research is driven and supported by local distribution system operators and developed techniques are currently being trialed in technology demonstrator projects. It is the aim to make these techniques more widely available and them to form the basis for future automated assessment, planning and control functionality.
